Show infoThis show will be dedicated to featuring songs that demonstrate the deeper, sensual side of jazz. I'm not talking about smooth jazz, but the masterpieces of great composers that were designed to tug at your heart or put fire in your belly. Many of these are larger orchestral and instrumental pieces from the post swing to pre fusion era and smaller combos of the same general time. There will be fewer solo artists, and every now and again some singers. The styles will range from cool/west coast jazz to freer (but still mostly tonal) works. It will be mostly American jazz, but there will need to be some Brazilian and other Latin genres involved. I think the title really explains what I am going for.
